Job description
Junior Textile Designer create patterns and prints in fabrics ready to wear garments. In this role, you have generate design ideas from reference materials, current trends and specific director instructions. Job responsibilities range from programming computer for print machine, using skills in identifying color arrangements, knowledge of certain fabrics and awareness of current design trends.
Responsibilities:
- Producing sketches, designs and samples for presentation to creative director.
- Experimenting with color, fabric & texture.
- Keep up to date and spotting fashion trends in fabric design by reading forecasts in trade magazines and using internet resources.
- Propose fashion ideas to creative director.
- Able to handle printing textile machine
- Check and ensure the finishing quality and fitting measurements for all new samples are according to the specs before proceeding for mass production.
- Able to multitask and meet deadlines while being detail-oriented.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Candidate must posses a Diploma or Degree in Textile, Fashion or any related field.
- Have experience at least 1+ in fashion/textile industry has an advantage. Fresh graduate also encourage to apply.
- Have passion in fashion industry.
- Expert in handling stress management skills when peak season.
- Dedicated, discipline & responsible with a positive attitude.
- Able to work independently, meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
- Applicants must be willing to work in Putra Heights, Subang Jaya (10-mins by walking to Putra Heights LRT Station).
