- Conceptualize and design innovative, fun, eye-catching products, with a keen focus on detail, usability, longevity, and consumer appeal across various product categories from stationary, toys, fashion apparel, fashion accessories, and housewares to gifts
- Create and implement captivating marketing communications visuals from digital marketing campaigns to elaborate retail merchandise displays that highlight the distinctiveness and desirability of our intellectual property products
- Create prototypes and mockups to test and refine designs, considering practicality, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturability while remaining true to the original design concept
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the designs align with our brand and intellectual property guidelines
- Provide feedback and oversee merchandise product quality from design and sampling to final production ensuring it aligns with the design vision
- Staying up-to-date with the latest and emerging trends to ensure we create products that remain relevant and appealing to target consumers, ultimately driving sales and brand appeal
- Work closely with the supplier end-to-end throughout the sampling to final production stages, ensuring the final product mirrors the original design concept and meets our quality expectations
- At least 3 to 5 years of proven work experience as a Designer, Graphic Designer, Visual Merchandise Designer, Industrial Product Designer or similar role
- Have a portfolio of completed design projects
- A strong understanding of merchandising, adept at applying design within specified constraints when necessary
- Possess a keen and strong aesthetic sense and the ability to consider a broader spectrum of the target audience
- Highly detail-oriented and meticulous with attention to visual details and a good design eye, yet practical as the occasion arises
- Proficient in design software such as the Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, experience in motion graphics and the ability to sketch would be a plus
- Knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, silhouettes, colorways, sewing techniques, fabrication, and trim; familiarity with print design and manufacturing is an added advantage
- Degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or Product Design with a relevant retail background
