Responsibilities
Crown Venture Holdings is a furniture manufacturer and retailer in the market since 1991 in Klang, currently have 3 brands market actively i.e. Crownlivin, perabotKINI and COMO HOME specialized in modular kitchen cabinet, space management, customized marble table and variety loose furniture and etc. We are looking for an experienced Furniture Designer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Study, research and plan various styles of furniture design and discuss with E-Commerce Team.
- Stay informed about design trends and developments for E-Commerce Market.
- Generate sample designs using computer-aided design (CAD), card models, sketches or hard prototypes.
- Prepare detailed final product designs.
- Liaise with craftsmen or production department staff (such as production managers and E-commerce manager) during the process of prototype.
- Evaluate issues such as pricing and fixing costs, purchasing, safety structure, materials use and manufacturing methods and techniques issue.
- Find ways to improve furniture items already manufactured
- Designers can also take old pieces of furniture and design a way to restore it and update the look of it to fit with current trends.
- Attend workshops, seminars and training on various types of manufacturing and furniture design
Requirements
Requirements:
- At least 2 years relevant experience. However, fresh graduate is encouraged to apply.
- Knowledge of design trends, competitive prices and the ability to meet specific needs of manufacturers.
- Use software packages such as AutoCAD, Inventor, solid works and Photoshop.
- Select suitable materials, which might include wood, metal, plastic and textiles.
- Good communication skill.
