Responsibilities
As a Product Designer, you get to dream up new products and see them developed into real products for our retail shops. We are the world leaders in the pewter-craft design and you will get to help us push the boundaries of this material even more! You will work on products ranging from home décor to event trophies to drinkware to pop culture figurines. In your role, you will turn briefs into sketches and then into 3D models and prototypes, and finally into market-ready items. You will be part of a design team that creates products for our twice-yearly seasonal launches as well as creating custom products for corporate clients. You will work closely with the sculpting and engineering teams to develop your products and meet launch dates.
Duties and responsibilities
- Create designs for our new products
- Work on both bespoke corporate orders as well as our branded items for retail.
- Lead the design of collections of products from concept, through prototyping to market.
- Concept sketching and 3D CAD skills
- Work with sculptors, digital sculptors and engineers to develop and execute beautiful products.
- Manage timelines and workloads to meet deadlines and product launches.
Requirements
Requirements for the Role
- Degree/Diploma in Industrial Design, Product Design or similar.
- At least 4 years of working experience.
- 3D CAD – Preferably Rhino.
- 2D design – Photoshop, Illustrator / Affinity Photo, Designer.
- Ability to research and sketch new ideas.
- Independent worker, self-motivated and results-driven. Disciplined and organized.
- Problem solver, creative with a positive can-do attitude.
- Good communication skills, especially in English
