Responsibilities
- Designing water supply systems, sewer improvement plans, flood defence programmes, and associated structures, such as pumping stations, pipework and earthworks (the scale may range from an initial outline to a full, detailed design)
- Producing designs of water distribution system
- Presenting project details and technical information to colleagues/clients
- Supervising staff and site workers
- Using a variety of specialist computer applications/simulation software, ensuring that projects keep to budgets and timescales
- Liaising with clients, contractors, government agencies, local authorities and suppliers
Requirements
- Degree in Water Engineering or related discipline (Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, etc.)
- Excellent results in fluid-dynamics, hydraulics and hydrology subjects. This includes the use of common design equations such as Hazen Williams, Darcy-Weisbach, Mannings, Bernoulli’s, etc.
- Comfortable in developing complex excel calculations of pipe flow design.
- Excellent analytical skills, Team-working skills, Problem, solving skills, Good time management, IT skills & Communication skills
- Possess own transport & must be SARAWAKIAN
